About the Author-
وُلد الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم في دبي، ودرس في المدرسة الأحمدية، وأكمل تعليمه في كلية مونز العسكرية في بريطانيا. تولى قيادة شرطة دبي عام 1968، وأصبح وزيراً للدفاع عام 1971، ثم ولياً لعهد دبي عام 1995، وحاكماً لها عام 2006، كما تم انتخابه نائباً لرئيس دولة الإمارات، وتكليفه برئاسة مجلس الوزراء وتشكيل حكومة جديدة في العام نفسه.في عام 2018 أكمل سموه 50 عاماً في خدمة وطنه، تأســيســاً وبنــاءً وتطويراً مستمراً، وهو الــذي يقــف خلف بنــاء دبــي الجديــدة بنهضتها العمرانية ومؤسساتها العالمية.كما ويُعتبر سموه رائداً في مجال التميز الحكومي والتخطيط الاستراتيجي وبناء القيادات وإدخال التقنية الحديثة في مجال الإدارة الحكومية. ويرعى سموه أكثر من 30 مبادرة ومؤسسة ذات طابع إنساني ومجتمعي وتنموي تحت مظلة مؤسسة مبادرات محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم العالمية، تسعى من خلال برامجها ومشاريعها إلى غرس ثقافة الأمل والعطاء، وتحسين جودة الحياة، والارتقاء بواقع الإنسان أينما كان.لسموه العديد من الهوايات والاهتمامات، فهو شاعر، قصائده تحتفي بالطبيعة والصحراء والبحر، كما تتناول القضايا الإنسانية الكبرى، وهو فارس محب للخيل وحائز على جوائز عالمية كثيرة في هذا المجال.
